Presentation of the new SoccerGround Advanced mini pitch system in front of the Olympic Stadium in Berlin
The date was 30.05.09, the occasion was the German Cup Final between Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. At last the day had arrived to present the new SoccerGround Advanced system, a collaboration between USP and Polytan.
The new, free-standing soccer field requires no permanent foundation and incorporates grandstands, side netting and floodlights. Its flexible construction makes it ideal for street parties, company sports activities, trade fairs and many other events.
From 9.30am to 2pm, the Berlin Football Association staged an action-packed tournament for girls, which was followed by a series of spontaneous matches between spectators, the young and old, pros and hobby footballers, Werder supporters against Leverkusen fans – great fun for everyone.
